Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Stratus is operated by Stratus Ventures LLC, based in Phoenix, Arizona. This policy explains what we collect when you use stratus-ventures.org or subscribe to the service, and what we do with it.

2. What we collect

Account data: your name and email address, provided when you subscribe or sign in. Sign-in is by emailed magic link — we never see or store a password.

Billing data: payments are processed by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer ID and subscription status, but never your card number — that stays with Stripe.

Project data: the requests, files, and feedback you share on your Linear board so we can do the work.

Technical data: server logs (IP address, request path, timestamp) kept for security and debugging. We do not run third-party advertising trackers.

3. How we use it

To deliver the service: provisioning your board, working your requests, and signing you in. To bill you through Stripe. To send transactional email — sign-in links, receipts, and updates about your subscription. We do not sell your data, and we do not send marketing email you have not asked for.

4. Who else touches your data

We use a small set of processors to run the service: Stripe (payments), Linear (your project board), Resend (transactional email), and Railway (hosting). Each receives only what it needs to do its job, and each is bound by its own privacy terms.

5. Cookies and storage

We set a session cookie when you sign in — that is what keeps you signed in, and it is essential to the service. Your theme preference (light or dark) is kept in your browser’s local storage. There are no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

6. Retention

We keep account and billing records for as long as you have a subscription, and afterwards as long as tax and accounting rules require. Server logs rotate on a short schedule. You can ask us to delete your project data at any time after your subscription ends.

7. Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (subject to records we are legally required to keep). Email jason@stratus-ventures.org and we will handle it directly — there is no form, and no runaround.

8. Security

All traffic is encrypted in transit over HTTPS. Sign-in links are single-use and expire after 15 minutes. Access to production systems is limited to the people who need it to deliver your work.

9. Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will email you. The date above always reflects the current version.
